A living thing travelling in a cardboard box needs more care than a t-shirt. Here is how we do it.
Your plant is chosen from the nursery bed on dispatch day, not pulled off a shelf where it has been sitting.
Soil bagged so it can't spill, pot braced against the carton wall, leaves cushioned in paper sleeves.
Next day on most metro pincodes, three days for the rest of India. We don't ship on Saturdays so nothing sits in a warehouse over Sunday.
Every box carries a care card with light, watering and repotting notes for that exact plant.
Straight answers from people who kill plants for a living so you don't have to.
Almost never. Two days in a dark box makes the oldest leaves yellow — that is the plant shedding what it can't afford, not dying. Snip those leaves off, put it in bright indirect light and leave it alone for a week before you water.
Check, don't schedule. Push a finger an inch into the soil; water only if it comes out dry. Most indoor plants want it twice a week in summer and once a week in winter. More plants die of overwatering than anything else.
Every ceramic and plastic pot we sell has a drainage hole and a matching saucer. Purely decorative cover pots are marked 'no drainage' on the product page — use them over a nursery pot, not instead of one.
Send us a photo within 48 hours of delivery and we replace it free or refund you in full. Broken pots, snapped stems and spilt soil are on us, not on you.
Yes. Add the message in the order notes at checkout and we write it on a card, leave the invoice out of the box and ship it straight to the recipient's address.
One short letter: what to water, what to repot, what's just arrived at the nursery.
